other 3 tourneys I seed. Try my best to place teams by seeding (march
madness & nit only) & location (march madness, nit, cbi &
cit). Footnotes today tells why Dons aren't in march madness over Gonzaga Bulldogs or BYU Cougars. Win over Cavaliers was great but viewers will not find Dons in march madness for today.
march madness.
I have a compunction about placing d1 teams which lost players due to injury, lost players due to transfer, suffer quad 3 or quad 4 losses, teams which get involved in transportation crashes (which are rare but horrible) or which suck in last several games they played: all conditions I mentioned thus means I won't place them as higher seeds. Those are bad. I have to congratulate d1 teams which gained players back from injury, gained players due to eligible transfer, achieve quad 1 or quad 2 wins, teams which don't get involved in transportation crashes or which excel in last several games they played: all conditions I mentioned thus means I will place them as higher seeds for march madness. Those are fine. Other thing to consider. I place the team with best win out of its conference as that conference autobid. So if a Missouri Valley team beats a #1 Kentucky Wildcats team, that Missouri Valley team will be placed as that conference autobid. Ok. This rule about team with best win out its conference as that conference autobid only applies in nonconference play when there are no conference standings to apply to d1. It only applies when team with best win out of its conference has winning record; so no losing record or .500 teams will be receiving autobid. This best win out of its conference rule is what makes me different from other bracketology sites. I believe if team has best win out of its conference then they can easily beat some weaker teams in their conference, win their conference tournament & get autobid that year.Thus for non power conferences any squad which has best win out of its conference can be seeded from 7 to 16, but they will still in my opinion be considered that conference's autobid. I don't think I'll do best conference record as autobid come conference play. I will probably do best overall record as autobid come conference play. Need to figure cbb things out. If u want me to do best conference record or want best overall record, leave a comment below. Currently, I plan on doing best overall record as autobid for march madness. For example say in 2020 through 2021 season, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs have best overall record, but Mean Green have best conference record (this exact scenario actually happened in 2019 through 2020 season), then Louisiana Tech Bulldogs would be autobid for C USA. Reason I think this is because team with best overall record is likely the better team & definitely could beat team with best conference record in conference tourney ok. Those are 2 rules I have for putting 1 team as autobid. Thus be happy to see ur team do great & get autobid if scenarios come true. I enjoy making march madness seeds. That's all folks.

For my seeds, format to decipher them. Briefly explain. Going for march madness, each # corresponds to overall seed. For example, 1.-> 1 overall march madness seed. Going for nit, each # corresponds to overall seed. For example, 1. -> 1 overall nit seed. Going for cbi, each # corresponds to if team had winning or .500 record 2019 through 2020 season & how great their conference was in 2019 through 2020 season, but once regular season actually starts, each cbi # corresponds to only teams which have winning record 2020 through 2021 season & how great their conference will be in 2020 through 2021 season. For example 1. would be team with fine winning record in fine conference & 9. would be team with not as fine winning record & who plays in not as fine conference as teams above it. Going for cit, each number corresponds to best overall record in list & how great their conference was in 2019 through 2020 season or will be in 2020 through 2021 season. For example 1. would be best winning record team in best conference of eligible conferences & 16. would be not as fine winning record team in not as fine conference as teams above it. Use these footnotes when to try to decipher my seeding above. That's my tips. I followed the rules with regard to march madness & nit seeding & march madness, nit, cbi & cit location. So be fine with reading my number lists for 4 tournaments in d1.
I don't have Dons in march madness over Gonzaga Bulldogs or BYU Cougars for this. I'll quickly explain. Dons have 1 loss to River Hawks 1st game of season. River Hawks went 13 wins & 19 losses last year. Team has never made march madness before. Yet Dons lost 76 to 68 to River Hawks in season opener. This is bad. What else. Now about 2 wins they have. Cavaliers were 1 win & Towson Tigers were 1 win. Cavaliers were Quad 1 win unlike Towson Tigers but it's not so rosy for Dons. Cavaliers seem to be great win on paper. I will however now have to compare Dons to Gonzaga Bulldogs or BYU Cougars. Dons don't have best win out of their conference to be frank & thus won't receive march madness autobid in my opinion. Best wins for Dons & Gonzaga Bulldogs are at same level. Cavaliers & Jayhawks were AP rank 4 & AP rank 6, respectively, so they are at same level. Dons only beat Cavaliers in 61 to 60 win. Gonzaga Bulldogs beat Jayhawks in a 102 to 90 win. Dons only had narrow win while Gonzaga Bulldogs handled their opponent. Both of their opponents are at same level since they only have 2 spots separating them in AP poll rank. But only one West Coast Conference team handled their opponent of the 2 this season. That's why Gonzaga Bulldogs will get march madness autobid over Dons ok. BYU Cougars will also make march madness over Dons. Let me call a timeout, Chris Webber, to explain. This team is undefeated as of today which means they have 1 less loss than Dons do. 1st game on BYU Cougars schedule was vs Division II opponent in Westminster Griffins, which is an embarrassing opponent. 2nd game on BYU Cougars schedule was vs Privateers, who have made it to march madness 5 times, which is fine considering they play in a one bid conference Southland ok (though I think if Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks lost in conference tourney which was cancelled due to coronavirus, then Southland would have been a two bid conference for 2019 through 2020 season). Thus they have bad win & average win. I realize this is unusual for a team which was AP ranked last year. But this squad is undefeated. That's what pulls them ahead of Dons for my bracketology & seeding. BYU Cougars were also AP rank 18 at season end. This means they still have fighting power from last year. Thus this is why I don't have Dons in march madness over Gonzaga Bulldogs or BYU Cougars for this though I do have Dons in nit for today. I'm done this rambling paragraph now.
